Resource Description

The Government Digital Service (GDS) is a unit of the UK's Cabinet Office tasked with transforming government services. There is an accessibility focus/awareness. They have a practice of Coding In The Open, which means that a lot of public repositories end up on their GitHub. As well as the alphagov organization, they use GDS operations to store their open source infrastructure tooling. It includes many different resources, including the Service Manual – helping government teams create and run great digital services that meet the Digital Service Standard; Government Design Principles – the UK government's design principles and examples of how they've been used; and the Service Toolkit – all you need to design, build and run services that meet government standards.
